Our Treatments

Because every smile is unique, our practice offers personalized orthodontic treatments designed to suit every age and need. Using cutting-edge technology and attentive support, we help you achieve results that are aesthetic, functional, and long-lasting.

Digital Orthodontics

Modern orthodontics has also entered the digital age.

These study casts and x-rays allow us to make a diagnosis and explain to the patient clearly and precisely why and how to correct their malocclusion.

The casts can then be printed using our 3D printer. We also have laboratory equipment and can manufacture certain removable aligners using our thermoforming machine.

Scanner intra-oral

Intraoral scanner

While taking prints remains mandatory to make a diagnosis and begin treatment, we take “3D prints”.

No more unpleasant-tasting “fingerprint paste”!

We have an intraoral optical scanner. This technique is fast and does not cause any taste disturbances or discomfort. The scanner captures color images of the patient's teeth with very high precision.

Radiology Room

The practice is equipped with a state-of-the-art radiological system, allowing instant digital radiology scans of optimal quality, with a minimal and controlled dose of radiation.

If an assessment is necessary, we can perform panoramic x-rays, as well as axial, frontal and profile teleradiographies.

The practice applies Social Security pricing for x-rays covered, without excess fees.

Adult Orthodontics

Orthodontics isn't just for children or teenagers. There's no age limit for taking care of your teeth or deciding to have a beautiful smile!

For adults, whether the motivation is purely aesthetic or functional, these recent techniques using digital flow allow us to create individualized aesthetic devices.

These modern, tailor-made techniques are discreet and painless, and therefore completely compatible with a social and professional life.

The diagnosis and the initial malocclusion may lead us to use one or other of these techniques, or to resort to very discreet multi-bracket ceramic appliances.

Invisalign Technique

This technique, based on wearing transparent and very discreet aligners, has proven its effectiveness on millions of patients and has changed their smiles and their lives.
These aligners, worn at all times except during meals and brushing teeth, allow teeth to be aligned and moved step by step, until the position chosen by the practitioner is reached.
They are changed every week to every 15 days. A 3D digital impression as well as a thorough study of the movements desired by the practitioner are necessary for quality treatment.

Since these gutters are removable, they require motivation and rigor, and are therefore reserved for the most serious adults and adolescents.

Lingual Technique

This is the only technique that is completely invisible because the brackets are glued to the inside of the teeth - tongue side.
Each attachment is custom-made according to the anatomy of the patient's teeth and the desired position at the end of treatment.

Lingual orthodontics can treat the majority of orthodontic problems, just like traditional orthodontics, while being imperceptible.
It is the most aesthetic technique available to us today.

The most efficient systems, the fine and comfortable attachments of the Win and Incognito techniques are used in the office.

Adolescent Orthodontics

Adolescence

Adolescence

It is at this age, between 11 and 13 years old, that all the permanent teeth appear and a global orthodontic phase can begin.
The orthodontist can thus bring the permanent teeth into the desired position and harmonize the aesthetics of the smile.
It is also during this period that, thanks to growth, the orthodontist can re-establish functional balance and correct a misalignment of the jaws (if these skeletal disorders have not been treated in the young child).

The Devices

Typically, external multi-attachment devices (or "braces") are offered to ensure timely and effective treatment. These devices are now discreet, small, made of metal or transparent ceramic.

With new techniques, teenagers can also benefit from very discreet devices in the form of Invisalign active aligners. This technique, due to its removable nature, is reserved for the most serious teenagers.

In all cases, we do everything possible to ensure that the adolescent patient understands and is involved, in order to obtain an optimal result and that the treatment is well received.

Please note:

  • Health insurance only covers treatments started before the age of 16.

  • You can consult an orthodontist with or without prior referral from a treating dentist.

Children's Orthodontics

Early treatment in young children can affect the growth of the bone foundations and promote the development and proper placement of permanent teeth.
This type of early care aims to achieve a balanced morphological and functional environment before the arrival of all the permanent teeth.

At what age should you consult?

The first consultation with an orthodontist is recommended at 6-7 years of age, when the first permanent teeth are developing. You can consult an orthodontist with or without a prior referral from a treating dentist.

These early consultations allow us to:

  • Detect possible dental eruption anomalies, jaw growth disorders, functional disorders or bad habits (thumb sucking or lip or tongue interposition)

  • Treat early if necessary: by simple and rapid means, correction can be started with interception treatments, which allow taking advantage of the growth of the jaws and the good cooperation of the child at this age.

  • Prevent the worsening of these malocclusions and the need for sometimes more serious treatments in adolescents or young adults (extraction of permanent teeth, treatments with maxillofacial surgery for example).
Indeed, correcting early sometimes makes it possible to reduce the burden on future treatment.

However, in some clinical situations, it is sometimes necessary to wait and correct only after the permanent teeth have erupted. The age at which it is appropriate to start treatment varies from child to child.

The second screening is done at the age of 10-11 years to ensure the proper development of dental germs during the change of teeth.

The orthodontist will determine the most appropriate time to begin treatment based on multiple parameters: genetics, functional environment, stage of development of the teeth, type or severity of deformations.

The child's maturity and ability to cooperate must also be taken into account. For treatment to be effective, the child must accept the minor constraints (wearing the device, brushing, regular visits) and the parents must be available to supervise the child.

Les signes amenant à consulter

Signs that lead to consultation

A chin that is too far back (retrognathia), a chin that is too far forward (prognathia), incisors that are too far forward and visible, a significant gap between the upper and lower incisors, missing or shifting teeth, are all signs that require seeking the advice of an Orthodontist.

The devices that exist for children are adapted to their young age.

The treatment will be carried out using small removable devices over a period of 6 to 12 months.

The Devices

There are several types of appliances depending on the initial malocclusion.
These devices can be:

  • Fixed: on the palate or on the lower arch,

  • Removable: on the upper and/or lower arch.

Depending on the assessment, Dr. Pascale MALKA will explain the technique suited to your child's case.
